MEGAN BIRMINGHAM
Megan Hodge-Birmingham Board Member/Director of TSYSG Softball
Megan the daughter of Tomie Hodge, is a graduate of Atlanta High School and Southern University A&M receiving a B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation & Leisure. She was an active volunteer at Texarkana, AR Boys& Girls club in 2007, a volunteer tutor at many elementary schools while in college, and she was able to reach many of her goals such as; multiple athletic and academic high school rewards, 2004 ASA Texas State Championship, 2007 1st Team All SWAC, 2008 1st Team All SWAC, making Dean's list several semesters and graduated with honors.
Megan brings to our program 12 years of being a STUDENT-Athlete and currently a little league softball coach. Promoting teamwork and sportsmanship is just one of her many goals for the program, encouraging young people to focus on being a STUDENT-Athlete and understanding that student comes first, is her passion. She knows firsthand the physical/educational needs for youth to succeed and she has valuable knowledge and experience that will be a critical resource for this organization.
Megan is a mother of 3 up and coming athletes and the wife of former University of Arkansas running back and NFL player Decori Birmingham. The positive attitude that has always been demonstrated in their home is the cornerstone of their successful family.
Grateful to be part of TEXAS Superstar Youth Sports Group, Megan is looking forward to bringing together the community to ensure a positive change in the lives of as many young people as possible.

My journey started when I was born in the east Texas community of Gum Springs, TX, 28 miles south of Texarkana, TX. Educated via the Atlanta ISD, a 1976 graduate of Atlanta High School, although I proudly acknowledge attending South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas, TX from my sophomore year thru the 1st semester of my Senior year.
I attended El Centro College in downtown Dallas as part of the Paralegals program and received a Certification in Business Computer Systems from International Technical Institute in Dallas, as well. My professional life has been spent in an around the Health Insurance industry, including corporations such as CVS Caremark and United Healthcare.
My passion for Child Development is fueled by having raised 2 sons and having a intimate understanding of the challenges Parents face in meeting the responsibilities of Parenthood.
As CEO of "Texas Superstar Youth Sports Group" , it is my personal commitment to be a resource and help every young person I come in contact with reach their full potential.

TSYSG is unique in that we combine Academic tutoring and Athletic training as a model that demonstrates to young people they can bring the same aggressive focus to the classroom that they carry to the field of competition.
