Texas Superstar Youth Sports: A look at what part Sports can play in Childhood development. #TSYSG

Participation in childhood sports can be a launching pad to a life of achievement and success. Adults who work with children should understand that no two children are completely alike. However in some ways young people can be very predictable and provide important keys that can aid Coaches in helping them reach their full potential.

Pre-adolescents face the social challenges of developing best friends and gaining acceptance from peers. Social relationships are one of the developmental milestones that this age group is navigating.

Young people have a high sense of loyalty when it come to there friends. Being with friends and peers is often one of the main reasons they choose to participate in team sports.  It's important for coaches and trainers to remember these dynamics in-order to get the maximum results from the instructions they provide.

USA SOFTBALL Infield Position Play Intro - Part 1 of 6

Texas Superstar Youth Sports brings Speed and Agility training to East Texas

Speed and Agility are the trademarks of great players who perform at a high level. Are some players born with speed and quickness? Yes of course, but more and more players are closing the advantage gap that the so-called natural athlete has by training to be quicker and faster.

Typically most high school football teams have a couple of players that can run 4.4, usually less than 10% of the players on their team. If you are one of those players, the football coach will give you a chance at all the skill positions that require speed. He knows you will be able to run by defenders as a running back, past defenders as a wide receiver or as a defender you will be able to cover the fast receivers, and get to where the ball is going faster than 90% of your teammates. If you play basketball, the coach will find a way to work you into the line up because you will get to more loose balls, and deflect more passes on defense, because you can get to your defensive position faster than the other players. As a soccer player you will be able to run past defenders and get to the ball sooner than the other players.

At TSYSG our goal is to create the explosive quick athlete with the Speed to give him or her every advantage on the field or court.

Texas Super Star Youth Sports Group offers academic evaluations and customized tutoring to Program participants.

TSYSG (Texas Superstar Youth Sports Group) is a Youth Development organization that partners academics and athletics together to create the Leaders of Tomorrow TODAY. We provide a academic evaluation for Program participants to determine the areas they need help and instruction.

Specialized tutoring consistently increases student performance. According to a survey of the research literature by Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory, tutoring:

    increases mastery of academic skills,

    improves self-esteem and self-confidence,

    improves students' attitudes toward school,

reduces dropout rates, truancies, and tardies,

breaks down social barriers and creates new friendships, and

provides emotional support and positive role models.

All participants in our Sports program will be required to complete an evaluation to determine if there are areas academically they may need help. TSYSG advocates being as competitive in the classroom as on the field of competition.
